How Our Shoes Are Made

Rounded Arrow

Quoc bicycle footwear combines intuitive design with high-quality materials and classic fabric-working techniques in the British shoemaking tradition.

For models such as the Tourer and Fixed, genuine leather uppers are stitched to withstand the rigours of cycling, then sculpted and hand-lasted by our skilled craftsmen who make precise adjustments to accommodate for the subtleties and uniqueness of each leather hide. A balanced, hardened midsole is incorporated to create an ergonomic fit that is sturdy yet flexible to provide maximum comfort on and off the bike.

A fundamental step in our leather shoemaking process is to add richness and depth to the material through deep polishing to initialise a patina that will only improve with time and wear. The final product is a handcrafted shoe that, with proper care, will gain distinct character and come to feel like an extension of your foot on the pedal.

With the introduction of the Quoc Night road cycling shoe line, as well as designing a beautiful full-grain leather version, we also created a 100% vegan model, as a very modern counterpoint to our established heritage.
